The position of chairman of the Railway Board has been given to Anil Lahoti, who hails from Madhya Pradesh. Lahoti will take over for Sunit Sharma, who will step down at the end of December. At the moment, Lahoti is serving on the Railway Board's Infrastructure committee as a member of the body's staff.Anil Lahoti, a resident of Madhya Pradesh, has been nominated to the positions of chairman and chief executive officer (CEO) of the Railway Board, as stated in an order issued by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC). His new position will become official on January 1 of the year 2023.
Anil Lahoti is the youngest of his three brothers, and he was born in Guna, which is located in the state of Madhya Pradesh. The Chief Justice of India was his older brother, RC Lahoti, who held the position (CJI). His second older brother, KK Lahoti, retired from the Madhya Pradesh High Court's Jabalpur bench before he passed away.
