China has decided to stop publishing daily COVID-19 case reports in response to the recent surge.
The National Health Commission of China, which has been publishing daily COVID-19 case counts for the country, has announced that it will stop publishing such data as of Sunday. The publication of these counts has been discontinued.
Without going into further detail about the factors that led to the decision, the commission stated that "relevant COVID-19 information will be provided for reference and study by the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention."
