In light of COVID-19 pandemic prevention and control, Chinese President Xi Jinping has urged for more focused execution of the national health campaign.The widespread Patriotic Health Campaign's 70th anniversary falls in 2022. It was started in China in the early 1950s with the intention of improving sanitation and hygiene standards and reducing the spread of waterborne diseases.
With the aim of "building a solid social defense line for epidemic prevention and control, and effectively protecting the lives and health of the people," Xi recently appealed for more efforts to help the public learn about health issues, develop good personal hygiene habits, and lead civilized, healthy lives.He also emphasized the advancements made over the last 70 years as a result of this national drive and exhorted those on the front lines to come up with fresh ideas and contributions to hasten the construction of a healthy China.
