DMRC kicks off construction on the Patna metro project.
The nodal agency for the Patna metro project, the DMRC, has started work on making tunnel rings for Corridor II. This work will be completed in the coming months. This underground corridor will connect stations at Akashvani, Gandhi Maidan, PMCH, Patna University, Moin-ul-Haque Stadium, and Rajendra Nagar. Its length will be 7.78 kilometres. The purchase of two tunnel boring machines marks the beginning of the tunnelling work that is scheduled to begin in March 2023.
