In a heart-warming incident, the forest department and the fishermen in Tamil Nadu rescued two dolphins that were found stranded on the shore. The fishermen found these dolphins while they were fishing in their boats near the coast. They alerted the forest department when they saw that these dolphins were not moving and had blood stains on their fins.
The forest department rushed to the spot with nets and other equipment to rescue them. They then took them to a rehabilitation centre in Chennai for treatment.
This is not an isolated incident of dolphin stranding in Tamil Nadu as there have been many cases reported earlier too. In one of such cases, fishermen rescued a dolphin that was covered in oil from an oil spill off Chennai coast just last year.
It is important for people to take care of marine life like dolphins because it is our responsibility as citizens of this country to protect our environment and wildlife from any kind of harm or destruction caused by us humans.
