The collapse of a gold mine in China has trapped 18 people .According to reports, a landslide that occurred in a gold mine located in the Chinese prefecture of Yili in the region of Xinjiang reportedly buried at least 18 people alive (west). Around forty people were working underground at the mine in Yining county when the incident occurred. The mine is located approximately one hundred kilometres (about sixty miles) from the border with Kazakhstan.The rescue of 22 miners appears to have been successful, according to the reports.
