In the early hours of Wednesday, the National Earthquake Monitoring and Research Center of Nepal (NEMRC) reported that two earthquakes with magnitudes of 4.7 and 5.3 occurred in the Baglung district of Nepal. The readings taken from the epicentre indicate that a 4.7-magnitude earthquake occurred at 1:23 local time near Adhikari Chaur in the Baglung District of Nepal (local time).According to a tweet sent out by NEMRC, "An Earthquake of magnitude 4.7 happened around Adhikari Chaur of Baglung District at 01:23 on 2079/09/13 NEMRC/DMG." The Nepal Earthquake Monitoring and Research Center (NEMRC) reports that the second earthquake, which measured 5.3 on the Richter scale and occurred at 2:07 local time near Khunga in the Baglung District (local time).


The second tweet read, "A ml 5.3 Earthquake happened around Khunga of Baglung District at 02:07 on 2079/09/13 NEMRC/DMG." This information was provided by the Nepal Earthquake Monitoring and Reporting Center (NEMRC). There have not been any reports of any casualties or damage to property at this time.The recent earthquakes have increased the level of fear felt by the residents of Joshimath, which is located in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand.
