About 80 percent of the country's workers are unorganized, exploitation or deprivation is rampant, CITU has taken several programs to stand by those workers. CITU has tried to organize, as in the information technology industry, several attempts to organize workers can be seen.
Along with Uber or Zomato workers. CITU is organizing a struggle movement. CITU is strengthening the demand of workers in the country for the minimum wage. Movement is being organized in various states for that purpose. The state government is forced to discuss the minimum wage due to the pressure of the movement in some states.
CITU is now focusing on strengthening its own organization while implementing what it once called for a joint labor movement. For that purpose, CITU has called for a mass rally in Delhi against the Centre's anti-people policies in April.
So the struggle to show new direction has started in the conference in Bangalore which will last for 5 days. A draft will be prepared outlining the movement against new forms of attack on workers.
