India is taking further precautions in the face of rising coronavirus infections reported all over the world. The country's goal is to prevent the worldwide outbreak from triggering a fresh outbreak within its borders. India is putting itself in a position to be ready to deal with any crisis that may arise in the future by putting into place new precautions and issuing updated guidance for tourists from other nations.
A negative result on an RT-PCR test is now required of all travelers, including those passing through six more countries as part of their journey. China, South Korea, Hong Kong, Thailand, Japan, and Singapore are some of the countries that fall into this category. On December 29th, the government of the Union declared that beginning January 1st, 2023, travelers traveling from these six nations will be required to undergo RT-PCR screenings.
