Netaji thought that the unity of the country should be strengthened, but the people of the country will be able to feel the desired taste in the struggle for the liberation of this country. Such an impression in the personality of Netaji, he was elected as the first Bengali president of the Congress in 1939 in the then national session of the Congress. He was full of such charisma. He was very popular with the Congress leadership which made him an eyesore to some people. He questioned the Congress' policy of non-violence and non-cooperation movement, he said that the country's liberation struggle needed blood sacrifice to reach its desired level and not on demand. As a natural convert, he did not look back.
Although at last he had to resign from the post of President due to the struggle to change the policy within the Congress, he did not stop. On 22 June 1939, Bose organized the Nikhil Bharat Forward Bloc within the Indian National Congress, primarily to strengthen left-wing politicians but whose main strength was in his home state of Bengal. A staunch supporter of Subhas Chandra from the start, Muthuramalingam Thevar joined the forward block. When Bose visited Madurai on 6 September of the same year, Muthuramalingam organized a huge rally to welcome him.
Then only on the streets of struggle a strong counterpart in uncompromising struggle. In England, he is the leader of the British Labor Party and political thinkers such as Lord Irwin, George Lansbury, Clement Attlee, Arthur Greenwood, Harold Lasky, JBS Haldane, Ivor Jennings, Gilbert Murray, George Douglas. He began to believe that an independent India needed a socialist dictatorship similar to that of Turkey's Kemal Atatürk for at least two decades. His permission to meet Atatürk in Ankara was refused by the British authorities for political reasons. During his visit to England, Subhash Chandra tried to meet several politicians, but only Labor Party and Liberal politicians agreed to meet him.
He wanted to contact the Soviets for help in the country's liberation struggle, failed, and was forced to seek help from Nazi Germany.
However, his idea of secularism of the ideal country and the idea of a united India are equally felt even today. Therefore, even after many years of independence, the Congress of India has to travel hard to protect the unity and pluralism of the country.
