India conducts screenings on travellers from other countries and has identified 11 Omicron sub-variants.
India has identified 11 distinct sub-varieties of the COVID-19 Omicron virus among visitors from other countries who entered the country during the dates of December 24 and January 3. There were a total of 19,227 samples examined, and 124 of them returned positive results. The Ministry of Health has stated that none of the variants will be able to have a significant impact in India.
