The accused, identified as Pravesh Shukla, a local resident and BJP supporter, approached Kol and started abusing him. He then pulled down his pants and urinated on Kol's face.

The police have registered a case against Shukla under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, including SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act. He has been arrested and is currently in police custody.
