Red Tsunami in Jemua Village as TMC Members Defect to CPI(M)

Jemua, July 5, 2023 - In a major political development, 14 members of the Trinamool Congress (TMC) in Jemua village, West Bengal, joined the Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPI(M)) today. The event was led by CPI(M) Paschim Bardhaman district Secretariat member Pankaj Ray Sarkar, who also appealed to the voters to vote for the CPI(M) in the upcoming panchayat elections.

The defections from the TMC come at a time when the party is facing increasing pressure from the CPI(M) in the state. In the 2021 assembly elections, the CPI(M) won 77 seats, its best performance in over a decade. The TMC, on the other hand, won 213 seats, but lost its majority in the assembly.

The CPI(M) is hoping to capitalize on the TMC's recent setbacks and win a majority in the upcoming panchayat elections. The party is already making significant gains in the rural areas of West Bengal, and the defections from the TMC in Jemua village are a sign of things to come.

The CPI(M)'s rally in Jemua village was attended by a large number of people, and the party's leaders made a strong appeal to the voters to vote for the CPI(M) in the upcoming panchayat elections. The rally was also a show of strength by the CPI(M), which is hoping to make further gains in the rural areas of West Bengal.

The defections from the TMC and the CPI(M)'s rally in Jemua village are a sign of the growing political instability in West Bengal. The upcoming panchayat elections are likely to be a closely fought battle, and the outcome of the elections will have a significant impact on the state's political landscape.
