In a statement released on Thursday, Comrade Uday Narkar, the CPIM Maharasthra State Secretary, condemned the shameless powerbrokers responsible for the deaths of patients at the Nanded Government Hospital.
"The victims of the Nanded Hospital deaths are victims of an arrogant, power-hungry, and anti-people government," Narkar said. "No one expects this government to have the moral courage to own responsibility for its failures. But we must condemn the shameless powerbrokers who have put their own greed and ambition ahead of the lives of innocent people."
Narkar called for a thorough investigation into the Nanded Hospital deaths and for those responsible to be held accountable. He also demanded that the government take immediate steps to improve the quality of healthcare in Maharashtra.
"The Nanded Hospital deaths are a tragedy that should never have happened," Narkar said. "We must learn from this tragedy and ensure that it never happens again."
The Nanded Hospital deaths have sparked outrage across Maharashtra. On Wednesday, thousands of people took to the streets of Nanded to protest the government's handling of the crisis. The protests turned violent, and several people were injured.
The Maharashtra government has promised to take action to improve the quality of healthcare in the state. However, many people are skeptical that the government will keep its promises.
The Nanded Hospital deaths are a reminder of the importance of holding governments accountable. When governments fail to provide basic services such as healthcare, people suffer. We must not allow the shameless powerbrokers who are responsible for the Nanded Hospital deaths to get away with their crimes.
