New Delhi, October 5, 2023: The Supreme Court on Tuesday dismissed three petitions filed by former IPS officer Sanjiv Bhatt and imposed a fine of ₹3 lakh on him. The court said that Bhatt was filing petitions repeatedly and it was hampering the judicial process.
Bhatt had filed the petitions seeking the Supreme Court's intervention in the investigation of a drug seizure case against him in the Gujarat lower courts. Bhatt alleges that a false case was registered against him.
Bhatt's supporters have strongly objected to the Supreme Court's decision. They said that Bhatt is a victim and he has the right to knock on the doors of the Supreme Court to get justice.
Bhatt's supporters have launched a campaign and appealed to people to deposit the fine amount in the bank account of Sanjiv Bhatt's wife Shweta Bhatt. Shweta Bhatt has also shared her bank account details on social media.

Bhatt's supporters have appealed to people to deposit ₹10 or ₹100 to pay Sanjiv Bhatt's fine. They said that this fine is on the public, so the public will pay it.
Bhatt's supporters say that this campaign is a resistance. They want to tell the government that Sanjiv Bhatt is not alone and the public is with him.
