In a lavish ceremony in Mumbai on November 9, 2023, Jay Kotak, the son of billionaire banker Uday Kotak, married Aditi Arya, a former Miss India and Yale MBA graduate.
Arya, who is from Gurugram, India, was crowned Femina Miss India World in 2015. She has also acted in a handful of Hindi, Kannada, and Telugu films, including the Ranveer Singh-starrer '83'. Before moving to the US to pursue her MBA, Arya worked as an analyst at Ernst & Young.
Kotak is the co-head of Kotak811, the digital banking arm of Kotak Mahindra Bank. He has an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA in History from Columbia University.
The couple reportedly met at a party a few years ago and started dating soon after. They got engaged in August 2022.
The wedding was attended by close friends and family, including many prominent figures from the Indian business and entertainment industries.
