British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has been hit with his first no-confidence letter from Conservative MP Andrea Jenkyns, following his sacking of Home Secretary Suella Braverman.
In a letter to the chairman of the 1922 Committee, Sir Graham Brady, Jenkyns accused Sunak of "getting rid of our democratically elected leader Boris Johnson" and "purging the centre-right from his cabinet".
She said that it was "time for Rishi Sunak to go" and that he had lost the confidence of the Conservative Party and the public.
The no-confidence letter comes at a difficult time for Sunak, who is facing a number of challenges, including the ongoing cost of living crisis and the war in Ukraine.

If 15% of Conservative MPs submit letters of no confidence in Sunak, a vote will be held on his leadership. If he loses the vote, he will be forced to resign as Prime Minister.
It is not yet clear how many other Conservative MPs support Jenkyns' call for Sunak's resignation. However, the no-confidence letter is a sign of growing discontent within the party with Sunak's leadership.
