The Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPIM) will be providing relief material to its cadres in Daluakhaki, who were recently attacked and had their homes destroyed by Trinamool Congress (TMC) workers. On Monday, a CPIM delegation carrying relief materials was stopped from entering Daluakhaki by police and was detained on the pretext of law and order.
The CPIM challenged the police's action in court and won. The court has allowed the CPIM to distribute relief materials to its cadres in Daluakhaki.
The CPIM has condemned the attack on its cadres and the destruction of their homes. The party has demanded that the TMC government take strict action against those responsible for the violence.
