Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner Elvish Yadav, accused of supplying snake venom at rave parties, was let off after being briefly detained in Rajasthan's Kota on Saturday, November 4, 2023.
"During routine checking in view of the Assembly polls...Elvish...was stopped...After...confirming with...Noida police that he isn't wanted...he was let go," Vishnu Singh, SHO Suket Police station told news agency PTI.
Yadav was traveling in a car when he was stopped at a checkpoint by the Rajasthan Police. The police were checking vehicles for security reasons in view of the upcoming assembly elections in the state.
When the police asked Yadav for his identity, he told them that he was Elvish Yadav. The police checked with the Noida Police, who are investigating the snake venom case, and confirmed that Yadav was not wanted in the case.
After confirming his identity, the police let Yadav go.
Yadav has denied the allegations against him and has said that he is innocent. He has also said that he is cooperating with the investigation.
