Tragedy struck in Jaipur on Tuesday when Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi, the president of Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena, fell victim to a fatal shooting by unidentified assailants. The shocking incident unfolded as two individuals entered Gogamedi's residence, firing multiple shots that claimed his life. The entire harrowing event was captured by a CCTV camera installed in the room, revealing the ruthless nature of the attack. Additionally, another individual standing near Gogamedi was also shot.
Following the heinous act, Rohit Godara, a known member of notorious gangster Lawrence Bishnoi's gang, boldly asserted responsibility for Gogamedi's murder. Godara, a wanted criminal from Rajasthan, is currently evading authorities and is believed to be residing in Canada. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has initiated efforts to apprehend him, having filed criminal charges in connection to the crime.
Rohit Godara, hailing from Lunakaran in Bikaner, has an extensive criminal record with over 32 cases registered against him at various police stations across the country since 2010. His alleged involvement in extortion activities, demanding substantial sums ranging from Rs 5 crore to Rs 20 crore from multiple businessmen in Rajasthan, adds a layer of notoriety to his criminal profile.
The incident has left law enforcement agencies scrambling to piece together the details of the crime, while the specter of Lawrence Bishnoi's gang looms large over the investigation. Lawrence Bishnoi himself is a prime suspect in the murder of renowned Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala and has been implicated in issuing death threats to actor Salman Khan.
