KALABURAGI, KARNATAKA, INDIA - DECEMBER 2, 2023: The SFI Karnataka State-level girls convention commenced in Kalaburagi today with a grand rally from Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel Chowk to Jagat Circle. Thousands of students from various colleges in the city, representatives from different parts of the state, and leaders participated in the procession and open meeting.
The convention, which will be held for two days, aims to bring together girl students from across Karnataka to discuss issues related to education, gender equality, and social justice. The opening day of the convention featured a series of speeches by prominent leaders, including SFI national president V Sivadasan and SFI Karnataka state secretary Praveen Shetty.
In his speech, Sivadasan stressed the importance of organizing girls and fighting for their rights. He said that SFI is committed to empowering girls and ensuring that they have equal opportunities in all spheres of life.
Shetty, in his speech, highlighted the various challenges faced by girl students in Karnataka. He said that the state government has failed to address these issues and that SFI will continue to fight for the rights of girl students.
The convention will continue tomorrow with a series of workshops and discussions on various topics, including education, gender equality, and social justice.
