Ujjain, India - December 9, 2023: In a disturbing development that has ignited outrage within the community, three Dalit women were allegedly attacked by members of the Gurjar community in Makdon village, located within the Ujjain district of Madhya Pradesh. The incident reportedly transpired after goats belonging to the Dalit families entered a farm owned by an individual from the Gurjar community.
According to official accounts, the accused, identified as Suresh Gurjar and his accomplices, subjected the women to a brutal assault utilizing sticks and other objects, inflicting severe injuries upon them. The victims, identified as Sunita Bai (45), Laxmi Bai (38), and Geeta Bai (32), are currently undergoing medical treatment at a local hospital, with their condition reported as stable.
The incident has ignited widespread anger and protest within the village and surrounding areas. Local residents have collectively staged protests demanding the immediate arrest of the accused and the imposition of stringent legal action against them.
