Bengaluru, Jan 29, 2024: The 2024 Lalbagh Flower Show has blossomed into a resounding success, attracting a staggering 5 lakh visitors and raking in a phenomenal ₹25.9 crore in entry fees over just 10 days.
Held in celebration of India's 75th Republic Day, the flower extravaganza captivated audiences with its vibrant displays, themed around the life and ideals of 12th-century philosopher Basavanna. From intricate floral sculptures to breathtaking gardens, the show offered a feast for the senses.
The impressive footfall translates to an average of 56,100 visitors per day, showcasing the immense popularity of the event. Adult entry fees were set at ₹100, while children below 12 enjoyed discounted tickets at ₹30. Additionally, parking charges for four-wheelers and two-wheelers contributed to the impressive revenue figures.
"The overwhelming response is a testament to the dedication of our team and the love Bengalureans have for flowers and nature," expressed a jubilant official from the Department of Horticulture. "We are thrilled that the show not only provided entertainment but also served as a platform to celebrate our rich cultural heritage."
