"Where will we go?" Sibal questions SC role after Soren case rejection

Kapil Sibal, a senior advocate and Rajya Sabha MP, has said that the Supreme Court should tell people in which cases they can come to the court and in which cases they cannot. He made these remarks after the Supreme Court refused to entertain Hemant Soren's petition against his arrest by the Enforcement Directorate (ED).

Sibal said that he thought something like this would hardly have happened in the history of India when a sitting Chief Minister is arrested. He added that the government wants no opposition Chief Minister and that they will do the same with Arvind Kejriwal.

Sibal also said that 10 more cases will be imposed on Hemant Soren so that he does not come out of jail and the government gets benefits in the 2024 elections. He ended by saying that if the Supreme Court does not listen to them, then where will they go?

It is important to note that these are just the allegations made by Kapil Sibal and have not been proven in court. The Enforcement Directorate is investigating Hemant Soren for alleged money laundering and has arrested him in connection with the case. The Supreme Court refused to entertain Soren's petition against his arrest, saying that the matter should be heard by the Jharkhand High Court.
