Chirag Paswan To HD Kumaraswamy: BJP Allies Who Are Now Union Ministers

New Delhi: Narendra Modi took the oath of office as Prime Minister for a historic third term on Sunday, following his election as the leader of a coalition comprising a dozen political parties led by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). This milestone makes Modi the second prime minister, after Jawaharlal Nehru, to serve three consecutive terms. Notably, this tenure will involve power-sharing with key allies, marking a new chapter in Modi's leadership.

The swearing-in ceremony, held at Rashtrapati Bhavan, saw Modi and 71 other ministers take the oath of office. The new cabinet includes 30 cabinet ministers, five ministers of state with independent charge, and 36 ministers of state, with eleven ministers hailing from non-BJP alliance partners. The allocation of portfolios is yet to be announced.
