Sen's remarkable performance, winning the second game 21-15 after a narrow 19-21 loss in the first, brought a proper thriller to the Paris court.
Advancing to the quarter-finals, Sen defeated compatriot HS Prannoy 21-12, 21-6 in the Round of 16. As India's only remaining hope for a badminton medal in Paris, Sen is on the brink of becoming the first Indian male badminton player to enter the Olympic semi-finals.
