Tehran, December 6, 2024: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, during consultations on the situation in Syria, stressed the importance of addressing the growing terrorist threat in the region. Speaking to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA), Araghchi underscored the alignment of views between Iran, Iraq, and Syria regarding the seriousness of the issue.
"The message of today's tripartite meeting is to support Syria—its government and people—in combating Takfiri terrorist groups that are launching attacks as part of an American-Zionist conspiracy," Araghchi stated.
He further warned that terrorist activities in Syria pose a significant threat to neighboring countries, highlighting that "terrorism knows no borders, so terrorists must be nipped in the bud; otherwise, they will spread to all regions."
The Iranian foreign minister called for enhanced cooperation among Iran, Iraq, and Syria to counter terrorism, urging the international community to support their efforts in this shared mission.
This meeting reflects Iran's continued commitment to supporting Syria against external and internal threats, emphasizing the broader need for unity in combating terrorism globally.
