The group described the assault as a direct act orchestrated under the supervision of the Zionist entity, with coordination from the U.S. administration and its allies. According to the PFLP, the attack aims to destabilize Syria, undermine its sovereignty, and weaken its critical role in supporting resistance movements in Palestine and Lebanon.
In a statement, the PFLP declared, "This treacherous act is part of a larger Zionist and Western scheme to destabilize Syria and destroy its pivotal role in resisting occupation." The group further pointed out that the attack coincides with escalating aggression, including Israeli bombings targeting Syrian-Lebanese border crossings and deeper Syrian territories.
The PFLP emphasized that these actions aim to plunge Syria into chaos, as part of a broader plan to divide the country and dismantle its resistance network. They stressed the importance of Syria’s unity and sovereignty, urging allied forces to stand united against these conspiracies aimed at imposing dominance and control over the region and its people.
