At the invitation of the Ministry of National Defense of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), a Russian military delegation led by Deputy Defense Minister Andrei Belyutskov departed Pyongyang on November 30.
At Pyongyang International Airport, the flags of the DPRK and the Russian Federation were prominently displayed. An honor guard of the Korean People's Army (KPA) was assembled at the terminal to bid farewell to the delegation.
Senior officials of the DPRK Ministry of National Defense, including Defense Minister No Kwang-chol and KPA General Political Bureau Chief Jong Kyong-thaek, were present alongside representatives of related departments and members of the KPA. The Russian delegation was also seen off by Russian Ambassador to the DPRK Alexander Matsegora and staff of the Russian Embassy.
The farewell ceremony included the playing of the national anthems of both countries, and Andrei Belyutskov, accompanied by No Kwang-chol, inspected the honor guard of the KPA.
The aircraft carrying the Russian delegation took off amidst a warm send-off from KPA officers and soldiers, symbolizing the ongoing friendship between the two nations.
