In a strong display of unity, the Students' Federation of India (SFI) has joined the nationwide strike in protest against the alleged anti-student policies of the TMC-led West Bengal government. The strike, called to highlight the deteriorating state of education in the state, saw widespread participation from students and youth across the country.
As part of the protest, students from various institutions in Delhi gathered in front of Banga Bhawan to voice their dissent. They demanded the immediate resignation of Education Minister Bratya Basu, holding him accountable for the issues plaguing the education sector, including the recent tragic events at Jadavpur University.
The protesters expressed their solidarity with the students of Jadavpur University, who have been at the forefront of highlighting systemic failures and demanding justice. The SFI emphasized the need for a transparent, inclusive, and democratic education system and condemned the alleged authoritarian approach of the West Bengal government.
Speaking at the protest, SFI leaders reiterated their commitment to standing with students across the nation in the fight for their rights, vowing to intensify their agitation until their demands are met.
