Hon'ble Cabinet Minister Miss Sakina Itoo Meets Punjab Chief Secretary to Address J&K Concerns Post-Pahalgam Attack
Chandigarh, April 26: In the wake of the recent Pahalgam attack, Hon’ble Cabinet Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Miss Sakina Itoo (Noorabad constituency), met with Punjab Chief Secretary Shri K.A.P. Sinha in Chandigarh today. The meeting aimed to address the concerns of J&K students, business community members, and other individuals residing in Punjab and Chandigarh.
During the interaction, the Minister emphasized the pressing need to restore a sense of security among J&K residents in the region. She urged the Chief Secretary and the Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) for Home Affairs, Shri Alok Shekhar, who was also present, to implement measures ensuring the safety and well-being of these vulnerable groups.
Miss Itoo highlighted the apprehensions faced by J&K students pursuing education and the business community contributing significantly to Punjab's economy. "It is crucial that these individuals feel safe and supported in their respective environments," she stated.
The Chief Secretary and ACS assured the Minister of their commitment to addressing these concerns promptly. They discussed potential security measures and community engagement strategies to foster confidence among J&K residents in Punjab and Chandigarh.This meeting marks an important step in fostering inter-state cooperation and addressing the aftermath of the Pahalgam attack to ensure peace and harmony for all affected individuals.
