Left Front Takes to the Streets of Kolkata to Protest Terrorism and Pahalgam Killings
Kolkata, April 25, 2025: The city of Kolkata witnessed a significant protest march today as the Left Front organized a demonstration against terrorism and the recent killings in Pahalgam, Kashmir. A large number of supporters and activists participated in the march, which commenced from Dharmatala and culminated at Sealdah.
The protesters vociferously denounced terrorism, communalism, and what they termed as divisive politics. Placards bearing slogans against violence and in solidarity with the victims of terrorism were prominently displayed. The march saw enthusiastic participation from people across different walks of life, united in their condemnation of the recent tragic events in Kashmir and the broader issue of terrorism.
Leading the procession was Polit Bureau member and CPI(M) West Bengal State Secretary Comrade Md. Salim, along with other prominent leaders of the Left Front. Comrade Salim addressed the gathering at the concluding point in Sealdah, emphasizing the need for national unity and a firm stance against all forms of violence and hatred. He expressed deep sorrow and condemnation for the loss of innocent lives in Pahalgam and reiterated the Left Front's unwavering commitment to fighting terrorism and communal forces.
The protest march served as a powerful expression of solidarity and a call for peace and harmony in the face of violence and division.
