Nafrat Ke Khilaf, Insaniyat Ki Awaaz! SFI and Other Organizations Launch Helplines for Kashmiri Students Facing Harassment

Following the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, which has been widely condemned across the nation, disturbing reports have emerged of threats and harassment directed towards students and traders from Jammu and Kashmir residing in various states, including Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, and Maharashtra.

Several organizations have stepped up to offer support and assistance to Kashmiri students who are feeling vulnerable and under attack in the current climate.

The Students' Federation of India (SFI) has taken cognizance of these alarming developments, including incidents in Dehradun where Kashmiri students were reportedly compelled to leave following threats from communal elements. Furthermore, the spread of hateful content targeting Kashmiris and minorities on social media platforms has been noted with serious concern.

The SFI Central Executive Committee has emphasized that Kashmiris have unequivocally denounced terrorism, and such divisive actions only serve the agendas of those who seek to undermine national unity. The organization has called upon authorities to take stringent action against individuals and groups involved in inciting hatred and disrupting communal harmony, stressing that no leniency should be shown in such matters.

In a proactive step to provide immediate assistance to Kashmiri students facing threats and harassment, the SFI Uttar Pradesh State Committee has launched a dedicated helpline.
